“A Sales Engineer...what’s that?” my father asked me seven years ago, after I accepted my first Pre-Sales role at Oracle.
When his friends ask today, no matter how many ways I’ve tried to explain it to him, he always defaults to: “She’s in tech. She does something with computers.”
Though technically accurate, if you are here, you have probably experienced something similar and know that what you do is so much more.
In fact, my humble opinion is that you are either in or looking to join the best kept secret in sales.
Our job is critical. We are the bridge between Sales and Product.
We work directly with our customers to solve big problems, while being the guardians of product and other company resources.
Why Did Emerald City Need This?
With growing demand, the fact that many of us are remote, and our relative ratio to Sales - it can be hard to find others like us.
The Emerald City Sales Engineers wanted to provide a place where the locals can have a safe place to learn, network, and grow their careers in technology.
